The Download Festival 2010 have confirmed an amazing line up which includes, headliners AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, and Aerosmith. The Download Festival takes place on the weekend of Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June 2010 at the home of rock Donington Park
Download returns for a eighth year, held over the weekend of . Download Festival, which this year has a capacity of 111,000 (making it the second largest festival in the UK), will return to Donington Park once again away from the racetrack.
AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, and Aerosmith all headline, with Them Crooked Vultures, Wolfmother, Bullet For My Valentine, Motorhead, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Volbeat, Stone Sour, Billy Idol, 30 Seconds to Mars, Lamb Of God, Five Finger Death Punch, and Megadeth also confirmed. Weekend arena tickets with camping is priced at £170, and a weekend only ticket without camping is priced at £140. Lockers in the campsite are priced at £11 with car parking £10 in advance, £20 on the day. A campervan supplement is £40. There will be an additional £10 charge to enter the campsite either on the Wednesday or Thursday. Kids aged 12 or under are expected to be eligible for concession rate tickets. These will only be available on the day from the on-site Box Office and there will be unlimited availability. A kids weekend arena ticket will be priced at £75, and a kids 5 night camping ticket will be priced at £15.
Expect the campsite to open at noon on Wednesday 9th June and to close at noon on Monday 14th June.
Late night entertainment The bars stay open after the entertainment has finished, and running until 2am (Friday to Sunday) they’ll be an after-hours Campsite Entertainment Zone, which has a café, beer stall, funfair rides, various shops, and a cinema..
Flag ban Due to an overwhelming number of complaints from people from 2009, Download will be banning flags on sticks in the main arena in 2010.
Food and drink You can bring your own alcohol with you if you are camping, though it will not be permitted in the music arena. Remember, no glass bottles are allowed anywhere on site, but cans of drink are fine in the campsite only. You will only be permitted to take in soft drinks in to the arena and these must be in plastic bottles no bigger than 500ml. Food can be taken in to the arena, though not in a glass container.

Markets include a variety of food from around the world, as well as clothes, jewellery, massages, piercing & tattoos, organic foods, souvenirs, merchandise, chairs, and other stuff.
One change that all festival-goers travelling to Donington should be aware of, is a BAN ON GAS CANISTERS. In the main campsites, ticket holders will not be able to bring in gas canisters or petrol fuelled cookers. Anyone found in possession of a gas cylinder or petrol may be asked to leave.
Shuttle Buses Shuttle Buses will run from Derby and East Midlands Parkway stations regularly with a shuttle bus running from the airport at well.

The The Hop Farm Festival made its debut on the Summer Music Festival Circuit last year, and it returns again for a second time this year. The Hop Farm Festival Takes place at The Hop Farm in Tonbridge Kent on the weekend of Saturday 04 Jul 2009 to Sunday 05 Jul 2009. The Hop Farm has attracted some of the cream of live talent including The Fratellis The Pigeon Detectives, Paul Weller Editors and Doves.
The Hop Farm Festival is the brain child of Vince Power, who used to run the mean fiddler group. The festival is unique as it has No Sponsorship/ No Branding and No No VIP’S. The Capacity is 20,000

Hop Farm Travel

Why not get a National Express Coach to Tunbridge Wells, then you can get local bus to the festival site.
However there is no lcoal bus service to the festival site on the sunday.

Train to Hop Farm Festival

Paddock Wood (PDW) is the closest station with Beltring station being the second closest to The Hop Farm Festival. Paddock Wood is situated change 20-30 minutes walk away, please do not walk to the site from the station as you will have to cross a very busy road to access the site, there will be a complimentary shuttle service between Paddock Wood station and The Hop Farm Festival throughout the course of the day and after the festival to get you back to the station.

The isle of wight festival 2009 takes place on the weekend of Friday 12th – Sunday 14th June 09 at Seaclose Park on the Isle of Wight.

The arena is open from 2pm until midnight on the Friday, 11am until midnight on the Saturday, and 11am until 11pm on the Sunday. No bottles, cans, chairs, etc, may be taken into the arena. The Campsites are open from noon on Thursday until noon on Monday. Strawberry Fields opens on Thursday at 6pm until midnight for campers and Festival First Members.

Still available is an adult ticket without camping priced at £120 and £60 for children (12 years and under). A campervan permit is £250 (all occupiers must also have a valid Camping ticket). Every person attending the festival must purchase a ticket. This includes babes in arms.

Tickets were priced at £140 for adult camping which includes entertainment in the campsite on Thursday night, and £70 for a child ticket (12 years and under). These have now sold out.

The festival has a large main stage in a natural amphitheatre that showcases well known rock and indie names, a legendary act or two, and rising stars, in a relaxed festival atmosphere.

Expected to make a return in 2009 is the 5,000 capacity circus style Big Top which plays host to a campers and Festival First Members only special night on the Thursday, and acts as a second stage once the festival begins.

The Wickerman festival returns in 2009 to East Kirkcarswell, Dundrennan. It is Scotlands Alternative Music Festival. This years festival takes place on Friday 24th July 2009 to Sunday 26th July 2009
Artists who have played in recent years include Fun Lovin’ Criminals, The Proclaimers, Hayseed Dixie, The Orb, and the stranglers. The Wickerman Festival Line Up 2009 is to be announced.

Gates close at 23.00, so we urge you to arrive safely and in time unless you want to wait in a holding bay until the gates reopen at 09.00 the next morning.

Please note that the exit gate never closes so it is possible to leave at any time, not that you would want to.
